Our Heritage · From PGA Catalunya to Camiral

25 Years of Championship Golf & Vision

Twenty-five years of championship golf pedigree, architectural vision, and ecological stewardship — culminating in our selection as Host Venue of The 2031 Ryder Cup.

A Quarter-Century of Excellence

From PGA Catalunya 1999 to Camiral, a Quinta do Lago Resort & Host Venue of The 2031 Ryder Cup

Conceived in the late 1990s with the singular ambition of staging the Ryder Cup in Catalonia, our estate opened in 1999 as PGA Golf de Catalunya. Over the next two decades, visionary investment by Denis O'Brien transformed a world-class golf venue into one of Europe's leading five-star lifestyle, wellness, and residential sanctuaries.

Tournament Heritage

Championship Pedigree — Three-Time Spanish Open Host & DP World Tour Venue

From the moment the Stadium Course hosted the 2000 Peugeot Open de España just months after opening, Camiral has been a proving ground for the game's finest players — hosting the Open de España in 2000, 2009, and 2014, the 2022 Catalunya Championship, and more than a decade of DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stages.

That tournament DNA informs everything we do today, from tour-speed bentgrass greens and GEARS 3D biomechanics to the countdown to September 2031.
